Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to function and to help us understand how visitors use the site. Here is what we use:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These keep the website running. They store things like your session and any preferences you set. The site does not work without these.
Analytics
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4): measures aggregated, anonymized traffic patterns. Examples: how many people viewed the FAQ page last week, what city visitors come from, which pages they leave from.
- Google Tag Manager: loads and manages other tags such as GA4. It does not collect data by itself.
Both are operated by Google LLC. Their privacy practices are available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google may use the data they receive in line with their own policy.
You can opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How to Control Cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may break some site features. Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” setting. We honor that signal where required by law.
Sharing Your Information
We share your information only with:
- Service providers who help us run our business. This includes our website host, email service, payment processor, and (for at-home euthanasia bookings) Beloved Bond. We share only what each provider needs to do their job.
- Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
- A buyer or partner if we sell or merge our business. We will tell you before your information moves.
When we share information with a service provider, we require them to use it only for the service we hired them for and to protect it with reasonable security.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep records as long as needed to deliver the service, comply with tax and legal rules, and resolve any disputes. Typical retention:
- Cremation arrangement records: 7 years.
- Website analytics: aggregated and held for 14 months in Google Analytics.
- Email inquiries: 2 years unless you ask us to delete sooner.
When the retention period ends, we either delete the information or fully anonymize it.
