Pet Cremation FAQs
Every family walks in with questions. Here are honest answers to the ones we hear most, from cost to timing to what happens at each step.
The Questions Every Family Asks
This is one of the hardest days a pet family faces, and it usually comes with a dozen questions at once. Below are plain answers about what to do first, how cremation works, what it costs, and how we care for your pet along the way.
A Real Person, Any Hour
Call (817) 862-7000 at 2pm or 2am. A member of our family answers every call, every day of the year, holidays included.
Every Price Posted
No mystery bills. Semi-private cremation from $170, private from $220, and every other cost listed plainly on our pricing page.
Home in About 4 Days
Most families have their pet's ashes back in four days or less. We call you the moment your pet is ready.
Right After Your Pet Passes
Their body goes through natural changes in the first minutes and hours. Muscles relax, stiffness sets in, and a little fluid release is normal. Wrap your pet gently in a towel or blanket, keep them in a cool room, and call us whenever you are ready.
Call when you feel ready, ideally within a few hours. Texas heat speeds natural changes, so sooner is better. We answer 24 hours a day at (817) 862-7000, every day of the year, so you never have to wait for morning.
Yes. A cooler with ice packs or a refrigerated space usually gives you an extra 24 to 48 hours. Freezing is okay too if you need longer. Just tell us when you call so we can plan with you.
No. If your pet passed at home from age or a known illness, call us directly. If your pet passed at a clinic, you can still choose us instead of the provider they suggest. A vet visit only makes sense if the death was unexpected and you want answers first.
Sometimes, but check first. City rules, HOA agreements, and leases can all limit home burial, and remains generally must be buried at least 3 feet deep and away from water. Cremation is a clean option with no permits to worry about.
How It Works, In Four Steps
Most arrangements take just a few minutes by phone or online.

Your Pet Comes Home
Ashes come home in the urn you chose, usually in about four days. We call the moment they are ready.
The Cremation Itself
Private cremation means your pet is alone in the chamber, with no other animals present at any time. It is the only way to be certain the ashes you receive belong to your pet alone. It is the heart of what we offer.
Your pet is placed in the cremation chamber, which runs between 1,400 and 1,800 degrees. The process takes from about 45 minutes to a few hours depending on your pet's size. Afterward, the remaining fragments are carefully processed into the soft ash families receive.
Four days or less for most families, which is faster than most providers in the area. We call you the moment your pet is ready to come home.
A fine, sandy ash in light gray or off white. Small pets usually leave about half a cup to a cup, medium pets one to three cups, and large dogs three to five cups or more.
An identification tag stays with your pet through every step, from intake to return. We welcome visits and hard questions. Transparency is something we are proud of.
Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, hamsters, ferrets, reptiles, and other small companions. If you are not sure, call us and we will help.
No question is too small.
No hour is too late.
If your question is not answered here, call us. A real member of our family picks up, day or night, and we never rush a grieving family off the phone.
